Politics: PM seeks explanation as to why Thailand bought Gripen jet fighters more expensive than Romania


From this issue PM explain why does Thai government bought JAS-39 "Gripen" expensive than Romania at 1.2 billion bath. Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF.) order a new jet fighter for 6 planes at 16 billion bath or 2.66 billion bath per each. That consist cost of logistical, training pilots and maintenance service cost. Before sight contract, we have 3 choice for new jet fighter unit that include JAS-39 "Gripen", Sukhoi SU-35 and a new F-16.The Gripens will replace the 12 F-5B/Es at Surat Thani Airbase in southern of Thailand.
